My name is Alissa Dincau. I live in Santa Clarita, CA with my husband Darel and our four beautiful children.

I have been working with young children and their families for over sixteen years now. I am trained in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, childbirth education and early childhood development. I have received my birth doula training and certification from DONA International. I have received both my childbirth educator and postpartum doula training and certifications through CAPPA. I also work as a baby nurse, antepartum doula and I volunteer as a Teen MOPS Leader for the SCV Pregnancy Center. I have been involved with La Leche League since 2001. I have over twenty college units in child development and I have been certified in CPR and First Aid every year for the last sixteen years. I also have completed a background clearance and a Child Abuse Central Index check through the Department of Justice.

In addition, I also have personal experience in caring for preemies. Two of my sons spent time in the NICU after they were born and one was sent home on an apnea monitor.

I will draw on my knowledge and experience to educate and support you in order to help you as expectant and/or new parents to make informed decisions for a healthy, happy and satisfying pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience.
