My name is Aparna Khanolkar and I am an Ayurvedic postpartum doula. I received from training from the Center for the Childbearing Year in Ann Arbor in 2002. I have worked as a postpartum doula in Ann Arbor, Mi and San Diego, CA. My specialty is preparing healthy, delicious and rejuvenating Ayurvedic foods for the new mother and massaging the newborn using Ayurvedic oils and techniques. I support new families spiritually and in all aspects of being a new family. I am the author of the book, “A Mother’s Blessing,” an Ayurvedic perspective on caring for new mothers. More recently, I worked as the main chef at the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA. I have two children 8 and 4 who were born naturally and breastfed for a year and a half each.
