I believe pregnancy is a miraculous gift. Probably the most profound, significant & spiritual moment in a woman's life. Followed with her birth~ which can be an anxious, wonderous unknown. I believe positive, conscious, holistic prenatal care~ brings happy, healthy babies, a deeper connection with mother and baby, and beautiful, unmedicated births. I believe every woman deserves the space to birth her baby as she envisions. Whether it be in the sanctity of her own home, or the cleanliness of a hospital. I would be honored to share that space with a woman, her partner & family. To help guide her to finding her inner most strength & surrenderance~ to birth her baby naturally and peacefully~ with my intrinsic instinct for comforting and listening to a woman.
I am a new Doula, working on my national certification through DONA (Doulas Of North America). I have been in the care taking/wellness/pampering business for over 17 years as a licensed aesthetician and make~up artist. After the birth of my first child in a hospital, and my second at home surrounded by the calm, loving protection & wisdom of my Midwife and Doula, becoming a Doula was a natural course my life needed to take, to pass on the immense beauty & transformation birth can hold in a woman's life.
As a Doula, I offer undivided compassion a trusting voice with nonstop care ~emotionally, and physically during a woman's journey through her labor and birth. I do 2 prenatal visits before the birth, I offer on call phone service & a postpartum visit. I come with national and community resources, and amazing referrals to herbalists, nutritionists, acupuncture, yoga, reflexology, massage and watsu practitioners. Free consultations.
