Laurel Phillips

I believe every woman deserves to have warm, respectful, consistent support throughout her pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I bring a deep trust in the normalcy of birth, based on over ten years of training as a student midwife and doula. I am currently working towards my midwifery license. I am enrolled in the National Midwifery Institute and am attending homebirths with two Certified Nurse-Midwives in Santa Barbara, Anna Bunting and Alice Levine.

As a doula I offer loving support and a wide breadth of information. I offer comfort measures for pregnancy and labor, nutrition guidance, family-centered birth preparation, what to expect at the hospital, and breastfeeding support. I will attend you with loving care at home during early labor, ease the transition to the hospital and stay 2-3 hours after birth until you are breastfeeding successfully and ready to rest.

I am the mother of three beautiful daughters, born at home with midwives. I am willing to charge on a sliding scale according to your means.

I attend births in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Ojai, Santa Ynez and Buellton.
